How to put on a my extensions?

Instructions:

  1. Comb your extensions until untangled
  2. Using a rattail comb or your fingers to create a horizontal part just above the nape of your neck. Clip or tie the top portion of your hair out of the way.
  3. Grab your 3 clip piece and beginning with the center clip, attach it to your hair at the parted section and snap it shut securely.
  4. Release some of the upper section of your hair, more or less at the level of your temples/above your ears. Clip the 4-clip piece in the new parting starting with the 2 clips at the centre. Make sure it lays flatly against your scalp.
  5. Release some more of the upper section of your hair and about 1 inch on top of your ears, clip in the 2nd 3-clip piece.
  6. Divide a horizontal parting slightly higher than the 3-clip piece on the sides of your scalp for the 2-clip pieces, secure the one furthest away from your face first.
  7. Above the 2-clip pieces, near the top of your head and attach one 1-clip extension on each side. They can also be used as money pieces.
  8. Comb hair to cover extensions with your bio hair.
  9. Use the mirror to check all of them are covered and non-visible.

Pro tip: if youre going to be moving your head a lot for some reason, we recommend using hair spray on your bio hair were the clips are going to be clipped for extra security.

WASHING & HYDRATION

Daily or frequent use of your topper can result in hair dryness and/or wear-out, so be sure to follow the following tips to extend its lifespan!

STORAGE

  • An extension hanger is ideal for longer lengths than 16", however, storing them braided in their own satin bags is a good option too.

  • Always detangle the hair and ensure that the clips are free of hair and closed before storing.
  • Do not store in a place exposed to direct sunlight or dust.
  • For storage over one week, try brading the hair with a bit of coconut/argan/jojoba/hair bonding oil and save inside the satin bag or extension hanger.

DETANGLING

  • Always start from the tips and gradually work your way up to the roots.

  • Use a detangling spray.

  • If it's very tangled, dampen the ends and apply conditioner, leaving it on for 3-5 minutes before detangling. We recommend dividing it into sections and working through it gradually.

  • It's a good idea to carry a mini comb with you in general —you never know what might happen!

STYLING

  • To create hairstyles, achieve a perfect straight look, or define curls, we recommend using a an extension holder.

  • Always use a heat protectant spray before using heat tools on the hair.

  • Less is more! Use your heat tools at a maximum temperature of 180°C / 350°F.
